Wolffkran launch new flat top crane

Wolffkran has unveiled its latest new crane the 6015Clear, the smallest model in its Clear Line of flat top tower cranes, the new unit has a 140 metre/tonne load moment and joins the 180 metre/tonne 6023clear and the 224 metre/tonne 6031clear.

The 6015 offers a maximum lifting capacity of 8.5 tonnes at up to 14.8 metres radius, with a jib tip capacity of 1.5 tonnes at 60 metres radius. The new crane will be available to ship in April.

The 6015clear features three different tower connections, allowing it to be fitted to the UV 15, TFS 20 and UV 20 towers and offers two frequency controlled winch options, either the smaller Hw 628 FU, with a 28 kW motor or the more powerful Hw 845 FU, with a 45 kW motor which offers up to 115 metres/minute line speeds even with the full 1.6 tonne jib capacity.

The two line trolley is the same standardised unit that is used on the other Clear Line cranes and is provided with a service platform/cage. Using this, the erector can travel to the end of the jib and can also reel in the hoist cable from the basket avoiding the need to walk along the jib.

The counter jib is manufactured in one piece with dimensions optimised for container transport. A permanent 1.8 tonne counter weight block is incorporated into the counter jib structure while 10 identical 2.05 tonne counterweight slabs are installed directly in front of the winches.

The Clear Line operators cab and electric cabinet are placed on a steel platform/module which can be simply bolted on to the crane. The crane can be supplied with power immediately after the installation of this unit, eliminating the need for manual rotation of the upper part of the crane to assemble the jib and counter jib.

As with other Wolff cranes a teleservice module with auto-call function helps with remote trouble shooting while assisting the operator who can download data from the Wolffkran web site.
