Fatal fall at Dublin Airport
A 58 year old employee of SR Technics was killed at Dublin airport in the early hours of Thursday morning after he fell while de-icing an aircraft.
We have not been able to confirm if the man was using a de-icing vehicle fitted with a boom lift, or if he was simply using another form of access. He suffered head injuries from his fall and was treated at the scene but pronounced dead on arrival at Beaumont hospital in Dublin.
A spokeswoman for SR Technics said the man had been employed by the company for many years. The Health and Safety Authority has launched an investigation.
