Crane tips in Bundoora
A 100 tonne All Terrain crane inexplicably tipped over late last week onto an amenities shed at Bundoora near Melbourne injuring a 25 year old man.
The crane was working on the Brand Junction discount shopping outlet at Bundoora's University Hill development when it appears to have gone over sideways. As it was not lifting anything at the time, the most likely explanation is the improper set up, or lack, of outriggers.

The fallen boom
The crane flattened a shed that is used as an office and a canteen and left the operator with a broken leg and cuts to his face. The crane was being used to place air conditioning ducting.
The development is being handled by MAB Corporation with the shopping outlet contracted to St Hilliers Contracting.
