Bashed bridge
A truck’s loader crane struck a railway bridge in Langley Mill, near Ilkeston, Derbyshire, yesterday damaging the underside and causing the railway line to be closed for over three hours.

The crane and truck
The truck was hauling a container leaving the loader crane unstowed, whwn it bashed into the bridge at around 10.45am. The police closed the road until checks had been carried out.
Network Rail said they were not happy for trains to go over the bridge until a more detailed inspection had taken place. So all train services were stopped until around 14:00.
