A man died and his wife seriously injured when a truck crane crushed their car
The car, driven by the elderly man apparently pulled out in front of the truck crane which had the right of way. The truck driver braked and swerved to avoid hitting the car.
For a short time the two vehicles were traveling alongside each before the crane truck tipped over on top of the car.
The crane tipped to the left, with the front driver’s section of the crane landing directly on top of the car.
The truck driver was not injured in the crash and was walking around and talking at the scene.
The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. Emergency personnel worked for more than an hour to remove his wife, who was then transported by a Flight for Life helicopter to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee.
