Tower Crane best practice at SED and Vertikal Days
The UK’s CPA will launch its new Best Practice guide for Maintenance, Inspection and Thorough Examination of Tower Cranes’ at both SED in May and Vertikal Days, Haydock, in June.
The new guide has been produced in conjunction with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), Safety Assessment Federation (SAFed), Construction Federation, National Construction College and ConstructionSkills.
At SED on May 13th 11:00 the CPA will launch the guide with HSE’s Ian Simpson chairing the seminar, other speakers include CPA’s Tim Watson and spokesmen from both Bovis Lend Lease and SAFed.
The morning seminar will be repeated on day two and three of SED in the form of a series of workshops on ‘Best Practice Guide for Maintenance and Thorough Examination of Tower Cranes’, directed at tower crane owners and other interested parties.
The association will also host afternoon sessions on each of the three days of the show at 14:00, with seminars aimed particularly at contractors. The session will be lead by TCIG’s chairman Syd Appleyard with speakers from the TCIG, including Tim Watson and Ian Simpson.
For those not attending SED the CPA will also host the seminar/workshops at Vertikal Days in Haydock on June 25th at 10:30 in the Leverhulme suite. The session will be lead by the CPA’s Tower Crane Interest Group (TCIG) chairman, Syd Appleyard, with speakers from the Tower Crane Interest Group, including Tim Watson and Ian Simpson.
