Terex names new Mining president
Terex has announced that Eric A. Nielsen has been appointed as president, Terex Materials Processing & Mining, effective today. He will report to Tom Riordan Terex president and chief operating officer.
Nielsen, 48, fills the post left vacant after Rick Nicholls, took over as president of Terex Cranes. Nielsen was previously president and chief executive officer of Volvo Excavators and Volvo Group Korea.
Nielsen joined Volvo in 1994 as vice president, business control and information systems. From 1998 to 2000 he served as chief financial officer and chief information officer, Volvo Construction Equipment Korea.
Prior to Volvo, he worked for WECO Metals and FMC Corporation where he held various engineering and product marketing roles.
"Eric Nielsen brings to his new role as president of Terex Materials Processing & Mining an impressive combination of technical knowledge, strategic and financial skills, and hands-on operational experience,” said Riordan. "His expertise in running global businesses will certainly complement our own globally diverse organization.
