Bil-Jax goes green
Bil-Jax the USA based aerial lift and scaffold manufacturer has launched a “Go Green” environmental campaign. The programme will be ‘driven’ by a Go Green Committee which will investigate and implement a variety of initiatives designed to reduce the environmental impact of the company’s manufacturing practices and day-to-day operations.

Jeff Ott, Bil-Jax president and chief executive officer said: “By adopting ‘green’ policies and encouraging our employees and customers to do the same, we hope to become a model company not only throughout our industry but also throughout the U.S. and the world.”
“Bil-Jax has already partnered with Defiance, Ohio-based Werlor Recycling to expand its recycling programme. Recycled materials will be carefully measured in order to calculate the cost and energy savings of any green policy. One of our stated goals is to show that environmentally friendly manufacturing can be cost neutral, even profitable,” adds Ott.
Members of the Go Green Committee have been recruited from all departments and shifts. The Committee will be responsible for developing comprehensive initiatives for conservation that extend beyond recycling. Energy use will be a prime initial target.
