Sherlock leaves Hewden
Doug Sprout has taken over as chief executive of Hewden, the UK crane, telehandler, access and general equipment rental company, following the departure of Brian Sherlock on Friday.

Doug Sprout
Sprout, currently the finance director of Finning Group UK, Hewdens's immediate parent, joined Finning in 1980 and has held a number of senior executive positions in operations and support services, as well as finance, in Canada, South America and the UK.
Sherlock was appointed as director of Hewden in 2005, having joined the business as managing director of Hewden Hire Centres in 2002.
Andy Fraser, managing director of Finning Group UK said: “Finning is committed to its UK operations and Doug will focus on driving Hewden forward in line with our long-term strategy of focus on building our leadership position in the plant hire industry.”
