Genie appoints global services manager
Terex Aerial Work Platforms/Genie has appointed Siva Balakrishnan to a new position of vice president and general manager of global services. Balakrishnan will be responsible for “defining and driving the value proposition and creating the delivery model for services on a global basis” reporting directly to Tim Ford, president of Terex AWP.

Balakrishnan's responsibilities will also include leading the Genie Industries parts, refurbishment and rebuilding businesses including Phoenix Equipment (the recently acquired refurbishment company in Waco, Texas), as well as the Genie used equipment business. He will have direct profit and loss responsibility for these operations in North America, and strategic oversight for services worldwide.
Prior to joining Terex Balakrishnan spent 14 years at General Electric in various positions around the world. Most recently, he was senior vice president of operations for GE's Trailer Fleet Services business in Wayne, Pennsylvania.
He began his GE career with the GE Corporate Audit Staff and later worked on assignments in Asia and the United States. Before his time with GE, he served as a Business Analyst with Tata Consultancy Services in Chennai, India.
