Speedy appoints Gott

Speedy Hire, the UK’s largest rental company, has appointed Paul Gott as sales and marketing director for its engineering division, which includes, lifting, survey, rail, petrochemical and industrial businesses.

In his new role he will be responsible for developing the division’s sales & marketing strategy as it expands and develops new services. The company says that his knowledge and experience of test, inspection & repair services will be particularly relevant.

Gott joins the Speedy from Bridon International, the wire rope manufacturer, where he was global sales and marketing director. Prior to Bridon Gott spent 11 years with Weir Minerals, where he headed up marketing across Europe, Middle East and Africa and led the company’s expansion into the former Soviet Union.
Gott said: “It’s great to be working within such a dynamic and entrepreneurial organisation. Speedy has grown phenomenally over the last few years – both organically and through acquisition - and there are so many opportunities for the business. I’m looking forward to help the division expand beyond its traditional construction customer base.”
