The association provides hospice services in Scotland for children with life limiting conditions. The organisation offers professional care, practical help and emotional support to the whole family from the day they are referred until the death of their child and beyond. It currently has two hospices in Scotland ¬– Rachael House in Kinross and Robin House in Balloch, both are purpose-built and each provides ongoing support for up to 200 families across Scotland each year. The ‘Rachael House At Home’ team, based in Inverness, provides support to children and their families in the Highlands.
Children’s Hospice regional fundraising manager Victoria Cartwright said: “We are delighted to have the support of AFI-Uplift. Their generous donation of £1,000 will help us to provide expert care and practical support to children with life limiting conditions and their families at Rachel House, Robin House as well as our At Home service.
“Our children’s hospices are very special places full of fun, love and laughter where families make the most of the time they have together. Thanks to everyone at AFI-Uplift for their kind support.”
