Bronto up 30%

Bronto the Finnish based truck mounted aerial lift manufacturer, has reported first half revenues up by over 30 percent to almost €67 million.

The company, which is part of Federal Signal has also announced that operating income in the first half climbed by over 19 percent to €6.3 million

Order intake remained strong over the period at $195 million, up due to the strong Euro converting to more dollars, and strong demand. Bronto says that demand for work platforms in Europe has weakened from the same period last year, while orders from other international markets have risen.

Bronto is in the process of a 40 percent capacity expansion which will come on line in the third quarter to help meet the increased demand. Its order book at the end of June was €181.7 million, an increase of over 58 percent.
