Second crane fatality on I-80 Iowa
A banks man has died after he was reportedly crushed by a cranes counterweight on a bridge job on Interstate-80 near Atlantic Iowa, the second fatality on a bridge on this stretch of road in eight weeks.
This time Michael Williams, 25, of Cherokee was pronounced dead at the scene after he was hit or crushed. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has been called in.
Crane operator, Dustin Flinn, 27, died on May 20th when his crawler crane tipped over as he picked up a beam on a bridge over a railway on the road.
