Runaway crane ploughs into house
A runaway crane smashed into the front of a house in Matlock in Derbyshire, (UK) earlier today after its brakes failed on a steep hill into the town.

The crane's boom crashed through a window
The 25 tonne Kato began to run away on the hill when the driver having clipped two cars took evasive action and ended up turning into the front garden of a house demolishing a wall and ploughing through a window. Structural damage to the house was such that the family have been moved out.

The crane ploughhed through a wall
There was no one in the house at the time and the driver walked away unharmed, the crane was taken away on a low loader for a further inspection. The crane, is owned by Axis Crane Hire of Nottingham.
