Briggs opens in Atlanta

Briggs Equipment has opened a new Contractor Rental and Aerial lift location in Atlanta Georgia and continues to expand.

The new location in Conley, Georgia. will serve the Greater Atlanta market with a complete product mix of scissors lifts, boom lifts, telehandlers, and other construction and aerial equipment, valued at over $5 million.

“Briggs Equipment - Atlanta along with our sister company, Briggs Construction have a strong market position in the materials handling and construction equipment sides of business,” says Michael Armstrong, the branch manger of the new location.

In light of what many companies are calling a soft market, Briggs says that it remains focused on steady, sustainable growth, and continues to increase its revenues.

The company says that the main drivers contributing to its sales growth are store expansion and ongoing rental fleet investment. Terry Lakner, regional manager - contractor rental and aerials said: “In our business, historical trends show that when capital expense funding is limited, customers look even more to equipment rental for solutions. At a time where many of our competitors have closed facilities, we are uniquely positioned to expand and invest in our rental fleet.”

Briggs was founded in 1896 as the Briggs-Weaver Machinery Company and now operated in the USA, Mexico and United Kingdom.
