Loader crane over in Manchester
An articulated loader crane overturned while carrying out a lift at a pub in Manchester on Thursday night.
The crane, mounted on a articulated truck/tractor trailer, was delivering a large advertising hording, it had lifted it clear of the trailer slewed over the side and was moving it into place when it went over. There were a few patrons in the pub- the Angel - at the time, but while part of the building was damaged no one inside was affected.
It is hard to see if the overturn was caused by an issue with the outrigger set up, soft ground conditions or a simple overload. Thankfully no one was injured in the incident.
