New MD for Teupen

German spider lift manufacturer Teupen has appointed Martin Borutta as Geschäftsführer, replacing Michael Scheuss who has left the company for personal reasons.

According to Teupen Scheuss made decided to move on, after four years as head of the company, during which time it was transformed in terms of performance and product range, with a host of new products introductions and updates. The departure was mutually amicable and the company says that the timing was fortunate in that a strong replacement was quickly identified.

Borutta has been running his own consulting business - Martin Borutta Strategie- und Unternehmerberatung for the past year, following more than seven years with Rofa Industrial Automation, which supplies a wide range of assembly line equipment from conveyors to Automated Guided Vehicles. He joined the company in 2007 as an executive board member and was responsible for intralogistics, mergers and acquisitions and the North America.

Prior to that he spent four years at Transport Technologie Karlsruhe, where he was an executive partner at the German-French planning and consulting company.
