Erwin Müller 1951-2017
We have received the sad news that access industry veteran Erwin Müller passed away on Saturday, he was 65
Müller retired as managing director of Rosenbauer Schweiz at the end of 2015 and remained as a consultant to the company until late last year. He started his career with Simon Aerials in the 1980s and was with the company when it was acquired by Terex, he then moved on to Grove Manlift as a district manager.

At the time of his retirement the company said: “Under the leadership of Erwin Müller, Rosenbauer Switzerland has developed into the leading fire brigade supplier in Switzerland in recent years”.
He leaves his wife Elisabeth and three adult children. The funeral service will take place on Friday 17 March at 13.30 in the Bergkirche Neunkirch, Switzerland. Anyone who wishes to commemorate him may also send a donation to the Krebsliga Schaffhausen, PC account: 82-3096-2, Note: Erwin Müller.

The loss of Erwin is truly sad news. The brief report given here indicates he tried to make the world a better place. I send my condolences from across the pond to Elisabeth and their children who can be proud to have been his life and known of his dedication to the occupation of WAH. I am confident he will be missed. His shoes will be difficult to fill.

This is very sad news. I had the pleasure of working with Erwin at Simon Access during the early nineties and he was always very professional but also good fun to be with. A man that I had tremendous respect for and he will be sadly missed.

Erwin was a great friend and a friend to IPAF when I arrived in Switzerland. I had known him for many years before, but he took it upon himself to welcome me to Switzerland and offer assistance wherever he could. His direct, but always courteous manner, was a delight as was his infectious laugh and humour. He was a champion of safe practice and the advice he gave was always considered and pertinent. Thank-you Erwin, you will be missed, RIP
