Working on the chimney

Spotted in the UK two men working on the roof of a two storey house, no access equipment and no concerns. They were working on a chimney, in a job that apparently took some time.

The two were spotted by one of our readers on Friday, who said: “Seen near Portsmouth (Hayling Island) on Friday, taking a chimney off the roof of a two storey house. No access equipment at all, ‘Let’s just stand on next doors roof!’ Whilst I was looking they even gave me a wave. Could have been their last one!!”

Making do in the UK

One hopes that the two were the home owners, rather than contractors, not that it makes it any safer of course, but there is a difference between a homeowner making do on a one off basis and a cowboy contractor who does it all the time.

Either way a definite one for our Death Wish series.
