TGM takes first Bronto S230 XDT

TGM Wind Service of Abilene, Texas has taken delivery of the first 230ft (70 metre) Bronto S230 XDT unveiled at the ICUEE show in Louisville earlier this month. TGM already has a fleet of eight 90 metre Bronto 295 HLA (90 metre S90 HLA) and is looking to expand the fleet to carry out wind turbine blade repairs. The unit - known as the S70 XDT in Europe - is also to be used for electric utility applications and for petro-chemical work.

The new Bronto S230 XDT has been sold to TGM Wind Service of Abilene, Texas

The S 230 XDT has a working height of 230 feet (70 metres and outreach of 115 feet (35 metres) and extendable basket. The unit shown at the ICUEE was mounted on a Mack truck. It also has fully variable H-type jacking and 90-degree cage rotation.
