H.N. Krane said that as loads are getting bigger there is a greater focus on the efficient erection of concrete towers. The 1750s are used to erect the concrete towers before the LG 1750 lattice boom crane is brought in to place the top sections of the latest generation of high wind turbines. The new crane went straight out on a a concrete turbine mast installation job in Sommerhausen near Würzburg.

H.N. Krane has also ordered a new 500 tonne LTM 1500-8.1 with an 84 metre telescopic boom which will be used predominantly for repowering and servicing smaller wind turbines.
Mirko Schreiber, manager of large cranes at H.N. Krane said: "The LTM 1750-9.1 will enable us to increase the amount of pre-assembly of wind turbines we can complete. The 750-tonne crane will also be able to carry out maintenance on the turbines".
H.N. Krane operates from several locations in an area from Sassnitz to Hamburg and runs a fleet of 45 mobile cranes ranging from 30 to 1,200 tonnes, while also offering heavy load and special transport services.
