50t Tadano for Merkel

German crane rental company Merkel Autokrane has taken delivery of a 50 tonne Tadano ATF 50G-3 All Terrain crane.

The three axle ATF 50G-3 features a 40 metre main boom plus 16 metre bi-fold swingaway which can be erected in line for a maximum on board tip height of almost 60 metres, or offset by 20 or 40 degrees. The order follows purchases in 2012 of a ATF 50G-3 along with a 65 tonne ATF 65G-4 and 220 tonne ATF 220G-5.

Managing director Günther Merkel said: “We have been convinced of the quality of Tadano cranes since expanding our fleet with a second-hand ATF 65G-4 back in 2011. The reliable customer service and the ease of use of the cranes have led us to buy our fifth Tadano crane.”
