18 E-RTGs for Vietnam
Vietnamese port operator Haiphong Port has ordered a further six Terex E-RTG rubber tryed gantry cranes, having originally ordered 12 units last September.
The 40 tonne electric E-RTG variant cranes have an under spreader lift height of 18 metres and are able to stack containers one over five. They have a span of 23.47 metres allowing them to cover six rows of containers as well as a truck lane.
Phung Xuan Ha, chairman of Haiphong Port, said: “Our port has developed into the main goods transport hub between Vietnam, Laos and China and is showing enormous growth rates. With regard to commissioning of the first cranes, we are in close contact with the TPS staff whose competence and cooperation we have come to know and value. In combination with the technological offering, this confirmed our decision to opt for TPS and encouraged us to take this option now in order to logically further extend the capacities of our terminals.”
