Pallets at the weekend
The old forklift and pallet method of working at height is still relatively common in spite of the risks that such methods carry.
Here is one spotted in Glasgow, Scotland yesterday that is crazier than most, with a stack of pallets and then moving the man into position while raised. On top of that the sign is large for one man to handle, especially while trying to balance on a stack of pallets. Hopefully it was not too windy?

Up on a forklift which travelled into position while elevated on a slope
In the words of our correspondent: “Just out walking my dog and came across these clowns trying to remove a sign. The guy was very unsteady on his feet and they also drove the forklift elevated on clearly uneven ground and I counted three times the guy nearly fell off. The worst thing about this is there is a Loxam access depot not 200 metres away!”
It seems from the photos that our man was too far away to intervene, hopefully these two chancers removing a Spice of Life Foods sign survived to watch the closing of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow last night. Definitely one for our Death Wish series.

UPDATE
We have received a link to a video of the sign being removed which shows just how risky this job was.

It is clear that the man obliged to stand or kneel on the pallets was well aware of the risks and appears frightened of falling something he came close to a few times.
