Raymond E Kane 1928-2015

We have just received the sad news that Ray Kane, a former vice president of manufacturing at Grove Manufacturing died on Saturday, he was 86.

Kane was born in Utica, New York in 1928 and served in the US Army from 1946-1947 before starting his career at Bendix, the innovative automotive component manufacturer. He joined Grove at its Shady Grove plant in 1973 as vice president materials, and retired more than 20 years later after a time as vice president manufacturing.

He is survived by his wife Dolores, whom he married May 1951, and his children sons Gary, Karl and Patrick and daughter Judith. Also four grandchildren, and one great-grandson.

A funeral service will be held at 13:00 on Tuesday, May 26, in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
