Sennebogen expands facility
Sennebogen has announced further investments in its production facility in Staubing, Germany, in order tp cope with increased demand and larger machines.
The latest expansion includes a further 35,000 square metres of warehouse and production space, including a new 6,700 square metre production facility for the assembly and painting of large components, along with finishing work and quality control.
The first phase includes the construction of a new test area to the south of the current premises for the testing and approval of telescopic cranes and noise metering. A new shipping area for machines and components is also part of the project.
The project is already well underway and will feature a special 180 tonne crawler gantry crane based on the company’s Star lifter 5500. The second phase, which will largely comprise the new production building, is destined for completion by the end of next year and includes a new assembly and paint shop for large machines.

The family-owned company opened its second plant at the port of Straubing in 2008 for the production and testing of larger machines up to 300 tonnes, and more recently added the Sennebogen Academy training centre and Erich Sennebogen Museum.
Managing director Erich Sennebogen said: "We are investing into the future today, not only to be able to provide quality products for years to come, but also to continue to increase our competitiveness. As a family-owned company, we feel committed to long-term planning and to adjusting our production facilities to the market requirements of the future. This plant extension ensures optimised logistics, enhanced reliability and an even better working environment for our team".
