KZ-100 is a direct alternative to wire rope, but is 80 percent lighter and much easier to handle, making handling, reeving, and installation much easier. KZ-100 does not rust and requires no lubrication. The construction eliminates kinking, birdcaging, and damage caused by diving on the winch drum.
Michael Quinn, Samson’s director of new business development said: “We are very excited to offer KZ-100 to the wider crane industry. We have been able to leverage the experience and technical expertise of the Manitowoc and Samson research and development teams to bring the market something completely new with numerous benefits. This select group of distributors will reach crane owners and operators everywhere with synthetic rope expertise and local customer service not possible without them.”
