Haulotte USA relocates
Haulotte North America has opened its new 7,700 square metre North America distribution facility in Virginia Beach as part of its relocation from Frederick, Maryland.
In addition to housing sales, customer service and product support operations, the new centre will carry out some minor assembly duties, most likely on imported machines and serve as a hub for American built Haulotte machine exports. The site also has a large yard of more than an acre, with plenty of room for future expansion. The company is investing $600,000 in the facility which will eventually employ over 60 staff.

Haulotte’s North American general manager Claude Fuger said: “This is a very important strategic move for Haulotte. We have been actively searching for a new location that will support our abilities to offer new products, improve service and become a major industry player on the North American scene as our market share continues to grow. The proximity to the Port of Virginia, which will also help reduce operating costs. This investment is part of our long range strategic plan and a further commitment to the North American market.”
