Two offshore cranes for Brazil

Jurong Shipyard, subsidiary of Singapore offshore engineering company Sembcorp Marine, has ordered two Liebherr board offshore cranes.

The 100 tonne BOS 2600-35 EX LIT cranes will be fitted on the Libra EWT FPSO vessel owned by OOGTK Libra, a joint venture between Brazil’s Odebrecht Oil & Gas and Teekay Offshore. Once assembled, the vessel will operate in an ultra-deepwater oil prospect located in the Santos Basin, 145 miles off the coast of Rio de Janiero. The Libra oil field is estimated to contain between eight to 12 billion barrels of oil.
