Major investment for City Lift
Danish access rental company City Lift has taken delivery of six Palfinger truck mounted lifts and placed a large order for Niftylift booms and Imer scissor lifts.
The Palfinger order includes four 25.6 metre P260Bs and two 21.9 metre P220Bs, all of which have been mounted on 3.5 tonne Nissan Cabstar chassis. It has also purchased an insulated platform which can be interchanged on each of the new models.
The Niftylift order includes two 33ft HR12NDEs and a 50ft HR17NDE bi-energy boom lift as well as a 62ft HR21 Hybrid and 86ft HR28 Hybrid boom lift. The company has also ordered a number of Imer scissor lifts, including the Iteco Easy Up 5 push arounds, IT80, IT90 and IT122 electric scissor lifts and IT180 diesel-electric scissor lifts. It also ordered a 12 metre IMR12 and a 19 metre IMR19 spider lift which are scheduled for delivery, along with the larger scissor lifts, by the end of the month.

City Lift's new Palfinger truck mounted lifts
Joint owner René C. Olsen said: “Besides growing we are also conscious of our fuel use and carbon footprint. The higher regulatory demands - now and in the future - must be a big part of our investments. Our main goal therefore, is to lower the use of fossil fuels by 35 percent over the next five years. Our new Euro 6 delivery trucks and Niftylift Hybrid booms both play a role in this."
Based in the Taastrup suburb of Copenhagen, the company currently has a rental fleet of more than 200 aerial lifts, along with a number of spider and trailer cranes. As well as selling Niftylift and Imer machines, City Lift also has a replacement parts and service division covering most brands of aerial lifts.
