A week of events in the UK

This is a busy week in the UK for outdoor events featuring lifting equipment.

Access Daze, the sociable event organised by Nifty, Skyjack, Blueline and APS will be at the Kingfisher hotel and country club near Milton Keynes on both Tuesday and Wednesday.

The event gives visitors the opportunity to see a range of products from Nifty, Skyjack, Omme, Snorkel, Bronto and Ascendant. At the same time it is an ideal opportunity to meet key players from the UK access rental industry.

Some 45 miles north, SED will be at its new purpose built venue in Corby. The show has developed a large site at the Rockingham Speedway venue, complete with tarmac aisles and all hard-standing exhibition stands.

This year sees a record number of crane exhibitors, most of them showing off small or self erecting tower cranes. Although NRC will be flying the flag for the crawler crane market and Maeda for Mini cranes.

Loader cranes are once again strongly represented with Hiab, Effer, PM, Cormach and others.

Genie is the largest access exhibitor, along with JLG and most of the UK’s truck mounted lift industry.

All of the telehandler producers will be out in force, including Manitou, JCB, JLG, Genie, Merlo, Dieci, CAT, New Holland, Bobcat and Komatsu which is making an effort at the show to get serious about marketing its telehandler range.

Vertikal.Net will be there of course, Cranes&Access is the official publication for the cranes and access village at SED. You will find us on stand 822 where we are hosting the Hiab-Vertikal Challenge for crane drivers.
