10 reach stackers for Africa
Benin port operator Société Béninoise des Manutentions Portuaires (Sobemap) has taken delivery of 10 TFC 45 H reach stackers from Terex Port Solutions.
The new machines, ordered through French dealer Solomat, can stack containers up to five high and offers a maximum lifting capacity of 45 tonnes for the first row of containers, 27 tonnes for second and 13 tonnes for the third row. It is also available in standard spreader and special attachment versions, tailored to a wide range of applications.

The latest delivery joins eight units of the same model already in operation - four of which are purchased, while four are rented. They have gone straight to work at the French controlled Port of Contonou, Benin, West Africa.
Giuseppe Di Lisa regional vice president sales for Terex Port said: “Our reach stackers combine competitive operating costs, ease of maintenance and operator comfort. This mix meets the requirements of many terminal operators. Moreover, our diverse portfolio has reach stacker models to meet the specific needs of customers all over the world with regard to load capacity and stacking height.”
Sobemap managing director Antoine Kouthon added: “The existing and new TFC 45 H reach stackers have contributed to the sustainable growth of our business. Together they form an efficient fleet of 18 machines that will help us to extend our leading role in the region.”
