New mid range Hiab

Hiab is renewing its mid-range loader cranes with 24 "totally new" models/variants due to be launched at upcoming exhibitions in Sweden and Germany.

The 20 tonne/metre Hiab X-HiPro 232 will make its debut in Sweden next week and then feature on the company’s stand at IAA in Germany in late September.

The new crane is said to be up to 300kg lighter than its predecessors, while offering higher lift capacities and greater working speeds, all the while being easier to mount. It also features Hiab’s HiPro control system with remote control with built in position monitoring and the company’s Load Stability System that dampens sudden stops.

Hans Ohlsson director medium range cranes said: "The new models are at their maximum 300kg lighter than our previous ones, and this means the same amount of extra payload. All this has been done to maximise our customers' profitable business. Key parts and components that require regular attention are also easily accessible”.

"The Hiab X-HiPro models offer smooth operating with more speed which increases productivity. Load Stability System (LSS) ensures the safe usage of the crane. It automatically dampens abrupt stops that could otherwise cause the load to swing. Boom Deployment Assistant (BDA), that monitors the angle and position of the boom during folding/unfolding prevents the operator from making a movement that could damage the crane" .
