First Holland Lifts in Australia

Australian rental company Alfasi Equipment Hire has taken delivery of seven Holland Lift HL-220 E12 scissor lifts, becoming the first company in Australia to purchase new Holland Lift machines.

The seven 66ft, battery powered, 1.2 metre wide HL-220 E12 scissor lifts will initially go to work on a new Woolworth’s distribution centre being built in Melbourne Victoria, where they will help with the installation of specialised storage shelving and racking.

The HL-220 E12 offer a working height of 21.7 metres and feature a 1.5 metre roll-out deck extension which takes the overall length of the platform to almost 4.9 metres, platform capacity is 500kg unrestricted.

Holland Lift managing director Eline Oudenbroek said: “Holland Lift scissor lifts are very suitable for the Australian market. Their robustness, high reach and large working space add to the existing options. Working in collaboration with Alfasi Hire, we are very glad to have received Australian Standard approval and Design Registration as this will support our further market expansion.”

Alfasi general manager Gary Murphy added: “The business is excited to be the first national rental importer to successfully design register the Holland Lift product to Australian Standards for Australia. The Holland Lift Mobile Elevating Work Platforms are a very specialised product and will complement a diversifying fleet”.
