New CFO for Wacker
German telehandler and equipment manufacturer Wacker Neuson has appointed Wilfried Trepels as its new chief financial officer with group responsibility for finance, auditing and IT.
He will take over in January from Günther Binder who is stepping down after 17 years with the company.
Trepels, 52, will join the company from Luxembourg based international commercial vehicle supplier Saf-Holland where he has been chief financial officer for the past 11 years. Prior to that – from 2001 to 2005 - Trepels was managing director of mechanical and production engineering firm Dürr Systems. From 1998 to 2001 he was managing director of Dürr sister company Schenck, having joined from commercial sewing machine manufacturer Dürkopp Adler of Bielefeld, Germany where he was director of finance and accounting.

Binder is leaving Wacker Neuson having reached a mutual agreement with members of its supervisory board not to extend his current contract, which expires at the end of this year. A statement from the company said: “Both the supervisory and executive board would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Binder for his many years of dedicated service and his support in developing the Wacker Neuson group and wish him all the best for his future endeavours.”
