Joint managing director Richard Miller said: “We are delighted to welcome such a respected and well known person as Pep on board in this important position where he will have full responsibility for managing engineering standards and processes in a consistent way across our growing company. As with all our appointments, the customer must come first and Pep is exactly the right person to ensure our customers enjoy an excellent experience with us providing the best possible standard of equipment at all times”.

Ventrella added: “I have been closely following the progress of Star Platforms since their inception and when I decided to look for another managerial role back in the industry they were the company I really wanted to work for. They have built a reputation as a provider of excellent service and are known for always putting the customer first which is exactly my ethos. I look forward to making a positive contribution to the further growth of the company”.

Star Platforms is based in Luton and was established in late 2014 by ex Panther and Nationwide manager Steve Simmons. He was joined shortly afterwards by Bryan Freeman and Richard Miller, both of whom came from Panther and Nationwide. It has been an active member of The Access Alliance since the start, and now operates from three locations - Bedfordshire, Kent and Leicestershire with a combined fleet of around 700 machines.

Good Morning Mr. Ventrella:
Congratulations on your new position. I am involved in fluid power safety. There are no laws in the US regarding the qualifications of people that service, repair, adjust and troubleshoot hydraulic system on aerial platforms, cranes, scissor lifts, etc. What kind of qualifications do the people that report to you have to have to to perform work on hydraulic systems? Are there laws in your country governing the qualifications of people that perform service, repair, and troubleshooting on vehicles that elevate personnel? I have a free hydraulic competency test on my site. Would you be willing to permit your maintenance personnel take the test? If yes, please refer them to www.fluidpoweracademy.com
Respectfully,
Rory S. McLaren
