250t Grove for Dornseiff

German rental company Dornseiff has taken delivery of a 250 tonne Grove GMK 5250L All Terrain crane. Its largest five axle crane.

The single engine GMK 5250L features a 70 metre, seven section main boom along with a 21 metre luffing bi-fold swingaway extension which comes with two additional lattice extension sections, taking it to 37 metres and providing a 110 metre maximum tip height.

"The region around the branch where the new GMK5250L is based is very hilly,” said chief executive Wolfgang Dornseiff. “The crane is well equipped and offers us excellent manoeuvrability and agility."

Dornseiff has its head office in Burbach and employs around 150 people, with additional locations in Olpe, Siegen and Wetzlar. Its fleet includes nearly 50 cranes up to 500 tonnes capacity and more than 200 telehandlers.
