JLG telehandlers for Extreme

UK based rental company Extreme Powered Platforms has taken delivery of six new JLG 3614 RS series telehandlers, the first telescopic handlers it has purchased.

Four of the new machines went straight onto out an ongoing contract, replacing re-hired telehandlers. The ‘Rental Series’3614-RS features standard outriggers, Deutz power and Powershift transmission with up to 10 metres of horizontal reach, and can handle three tonnes at full height.

Two of Extreme's six new JLG telehandlers

Managing Director, Stuart Bond said: "We have been involved in telehandlers for the last three years but up until now, we have just re-hired when and where we needed it. We carried out some market research and it turned out that several of our customers use us for access equipment and hire telehandlers from elsewhere. Due to our service levels, they had said they would prefer to use Extreme. We have looked at many products, but we felt the JLG 3614 RS telehandlers fitted ours and our customers' requirements perfectly."

Extreme operates from three locations, in Coventry, West Midlands, Hailsham, East Sussex and Shepperton, near London. It recently became a member of the Access Alliance.
