Another Liebherr for Birmingham

UK rental company Birmingham Crane Hire has taken delivery of a 40 tonne Liebherr LTM 1040-2.1 All Terrain crane.

The two axle crane features a 35 metre main boom, at which it can handle 7.4 tonnes when fully extended and 1.1 tonnes at its maximum radius of 31 metres. The unit follows the delivery of the company’s first Liebherr - a 60 tonne LTM 1060-3.1 – last year. An order for a third crane has also been placed.

Liebherr LTM 1040-2.1

Sales director Mark Weatherson said: "Having purchased our first Liebherr a little over 12 months ago we have been impressed by its performance and reliability. With this in mind and having reviewed all available options we felt that the LTM 1040-2.1 perfectly met our needs and believe that its compact design and excellent manoeuverability will prove a popular choice with our customer base."

Birmingham Crane Hire was established in 1981, and covers central England with a fleet that includes Spierings mobile tower cranes, along with All Terrains from Liebherr, Tadano, Grove and a Böcker truck mounted crane.
