Three city cranes for Steil
German crane rental company Steil Kranarbeiten has taken delivery of three 45 tonne Demag AC 45 City cranes.
The AC 45 City has a 31.2 metre main boom which can telescope up to 19.7 tonnes, while a 7.1 to 13 metre offsettable extension takes the maximum on board tip height to over 45 metres. The new cranes will be stationed at the company’s depots in Saarwellingen, Bierbach and Ludwigshafen.
Steil director Daniel Gödert, said: “We were already using an AC 40 City crane, which was completely unbeatable on tight work sites thanks to its compact design – in fact, we called it our ‘two-wheeler. We will be using the cranes primarily indoors, as that’s where they can really shine with their compact dimensions and their ability to telescope the boom while under load. In fact, the AC 45 City is considerably more impressive than its great predecessor in this regard.”
