90t Liebherr for R.W.Christopher

Welsh rental company R. W. Christopher Crane Hire has taken delivery of a 90 tonne Liebherr LTM 1090-4.2 All Terrain crane.

The four axle crane has a 60 metre main boom, plus a 9.5 to 16 metre bi-fold swingaway extension with manual offsets, to offer a maximum tip height of just under 80 metres. Fitted with the latest Tier V engine and the company’s ECOdrive and ECOmode systems which reduce fuel consumption and noise emissions, the crane is able to travel on 10 or 12 tonne axle loads. It also features Liebherr’s VarioBallast variable counterweight and VarioBase outrigger systems as well as full remote controls. The crane was part of a two crane order, the first being a 40 tonne Liebherr LTM 1040-2.1 which was delivered in February - see: First new Liebherr for Christopher.

The Liebherr LTM 1090-4.2

Family owned R. W. Christopher was established in 1986 and operates a fleet of cranes from eight to 200 tonnes from its location in Bridgend, covering Wales and south west England.
