Australian construction company and developer Aland has taken delivery of two 10 tonne Raimondi LRH174 hydraulic luffing jib tower cranes.

The LRH174’s are equipped with 45 metre jibs, a freestanding under hook height of 84.5 metres and a 3.24 tonne jib tip capacity. The 10 tonne maximum capacity is available at up to 20 metres with jibs of up to 40 metres or 19 metres with the 45ft jib. The out of service radius is just 13.8 metres.

The cranes were purchased through Strictly Cranes and have gone to work on the development of the two 28 storey Archibald towers in Gosford, northern Brisbane. They are scheduled to remain on site for 18 months until the completion of the project.
Aland installs it
Ramey Alkhoshabib, owner of Strictly Cranes said: “We are proud to support Aland with the two new LRH174s, bringing its fleet of Raimondi cranes to seven models. The LRH174, compared to a traditional electric winch and cable model, is seamlessly installed with the jib fully assembled at ground level in a single lift. It has smoother and speedy movements, along with greater lifting performances and enhanced safety.”

“The advantage of utilising hydraulic luffers on sites like this, where high winds may occur, is represented by the hydraulic cylinder directly blocking the jib - contrary to conventional luffers - which ensures greater level of safety.”
