Dutch crane rental and haulage company Q3 has taken delivery of used 150 tonne Grove GMK5150L All Terrain crane.
The GMK5150L – manufactured in 2019 - features a 60 metre main boom topped by an 11.2 to 17.2 metre bi-fold swingaway which can be extended with inserts to 33.4 metre for a 97 metre maximum tip height. It can travel with 10.2 tonnes of counterweight within 12 tonne axle loadings. Features include boom tip camera system, and the manufacturer’s MAXbase variable outrigger set up and monitoring.
The crane was in store at Manitowoc’s Breda facility only 13 miles from Q3’s headquarters. It received several updates before delivery including a second oil cooler for the hydraulic system, installation of a 24 tonne trailer hitch, 10 new tyres, and a full paint job in the Q3 colours.
Q3’s managing director, Vincent de Wilde said: “Our team has consistently benefited from Grove’s excellent customer service and problem-solving approach. Manitowoc’s mobile cranes sales manager Niek Brabers knew we were searching for a crane in the 150 tonne capacity class and offered us the used GMK5150L.”
“We were really happy to purchase directly from Manitowoc because the Company was able to outfit it with additional options and features, providing exactly what we wanted.”
Based south of Rotterdam, Q3 specialises in on and offshore heavy cargo and lifting projects.
