Panther helps National Trust
Panther Platform Rentals recently helped The National Trust with work at the historical Stowe Landscape Gardens in Buckinghamshire. The Octopussy 1765 track mounted boom was chosen to inspect four of the extensive grounds’ many structures for any loose masonry and to subsequently carry out the work required.

The Temple of Friendship receives attention using the Octopussy 1765
The Octopussy,1765 fitted with a twin basket option, has a working height of 17 metres and a working outreach of about 7 metres which allowed work up and over the historical structures. It was also required to travel over the grounds, so the caterpillar tracks ensured there was no damage to the grass.
National Trust Building Surveyor Christine Fenn said: "The four structures requiring attention are all rather delicate for their size and therefore it was important we had no scaffolding up against any of them. Instead we chose to use an access platform that could safely be manoeuvered into a suitable working position. We required two people to carry out our inspections and the
Octopussy 1765 easily provided enough platform space for both of my colleagues and their equipment”.
The Temple of Friendship, The Doric Arch, The Queen’s Temple and The Temple of Concord and Victory were all built in the 18th Century and are just four of over 40 monuments, temples and secret corners to be found in the stunning landscape. The main house itself at Stowe has for many years made up part of the famous Stowe public school.
