UK based crane rental company Cobra Lifting Services has taken delivery of a four tonne Aconda 4000 Pro electric crawler carrier, the first model of its kind to be delivered in the UK.
The all-electric 4000 Pro crawler carrier offers a four tonne load capacity and features a rotating deck that extends from its standard configuration to two by three metres. It is one metre wide, 50cm high and powered by a 200Ah battery able to travel at a speed of 2.5km/h. When used with the Aconda super dolly, the maximum capacity increases to eight tonnes. Overall weight is 970kg.
The unit has already completed several projects
Cobra director Clint Price said: "The 4000 Pro has helped us to deliver contracts that other contract lifting companies said were impossible. We recently completed a utilities job to remove and replace a 2.5 tonne transformer located around 500m from the road down a steep slope. Several other crane companies had turned it down, but the 4000 Pro managed it with ease."

Based in London, Cobra Lifting Services specialises in spider crane rental across London and southern England. The company has been working with Aconda - previously known as Tracked Carriers - since 2019 and operates several of its carriers.
