The lift replaces the old ladders

Access to the machinery room, which houses most of the accommodation, is by a dual elevator to save climbing the old steel ladders with your bags. And perhaps best of all the operators cab is still operational and guest can operate the crane, although in the interests of safety only the slew function works, allowing you to change your view whenever you feel like it.
