Ralf Kruse 1962-2008

Ralf Kruse, former MD of German new and used crane company CCK /Crane Cooperation Kruse GmbH, passed away last night in a hospital in Berlin following a short illness.

Kruse started his business in 1990 selling both new and used cranes and became the Unic spider crane dealer for Germany, winning the European dealer of the year award in 2005.

He managed the Recklinghausen based business for more than 16 years until 2006 when he was committed for trail, suspected of having committed tax evasion, a charge that was never proven, although he spent more than 14 months in detention.

He died after a short but aggressive fight with bowel cancer departing just before his birthday, which would have been tomorrow.
