Crane starts fire at Kuwait’s largest refinery
A fire broke out at the Mina al-Ahmadi refinery in Kuwait yesterday after a crane, operating near an oil tank knocked off a pipe connecting oil tanks causing an oil leak and the fire.
Three firefighting teams quickly put the fire out and there were no casualties and according to a spokesman, production will not be affected.
The refinery, Kuwait’s largest, is located 25 miles south of Kuwait City and has a capacity of 450,000 barrels a day.
