Kranlyft opens new facility

Kranlyft has opened its new headquarters facility in Molnlycke, near Goteborg, Sweden. The company held the official opening on Friday, celebrating the event with its principal supplier/partner Maeda Seisakusho.

The six acre site houses the entire Swedish Kranlyft operation along with Molnlycke Bilfjaderservice, a Kranlyft owned company which supplies replacement truck springs across Sweden, Metso Minerals and a car body shop.

Most of Kranlyft’s dealers sent representatives to the event which included the unveiling of two new Maeda cranes. The six tonne LC1385 which will be available towards the end of 2008, will be the largest machine in the Maeda range and the 590mm wide – 1.74 tonne mini MC174.

Shunichi Tsuchiya (L) and Christer Dijner prepare to break the seal on the Sake

The president of Maeda, Shunichi Tsuchiya, cut the ribbon on Friday morning he then joined Christer Dijnér managing director of Kranlyft in the breaking of the seal on a large barrel of traditional Japanese Saki, which was promptly consumed by all those present.
